Oncology Center

The oncology center is a specialized department or unit in hospitals or other medical institutions that provides comprehensive medical services for the diagnosis, treatment, and management of cancer. This center consists of a multidisciplinary team comprising oncology specialists (medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, and surgical oncologists), specialized oncology nurses, radiologists, pathologists, nutritionists, psychologists, and various other healthcare professionals.

Chemotherapy

Chemotherapy is treatment or drugs used to treat cancer. In the past, this treatment was called chemo. Surgery and radiation can remove, kill and destroy cancer cells in certain areas, but chemotherapy will work on all body cells, without exception. Chemotherapy treatment can kill cancer cells that have spread, even far from the original tumor.
